Or at least a fix / patch for recent kernels?
I just found this patch on Debian support mailing list: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=39;filename=0004-vmblock-vm... I didn't check it by myself yet, but I'll be glad to test the resulting package if you decide to accept it.
