https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=832548 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=832548#c0 Summary: Large scale video corruption and small artifacts on Ivy Bridge graphics after suspend/resume. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 13.1 Milestone 3 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jk0bugs@gmail.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=550457) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=550457) Xorg log covering pre-suspend and post-resume states until a forced X restart User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/30.0.1553.0 Safari/537.36 SUSE/30.0.1553.0 The system running on current Factory suffers from graphics issues after suspending and resuming. On the first resume after a complete system restart, the graphics are badly corrupted, in a similar way as in this picture http://i42.tinypic.com/ven9g7.jpg . Forcibly restarting X solves the issue. Suspending and resuming the system where X was restarted once does not produce exactly the same result. Instead, some small artifacts can be seen on some GUI elements, which might be cached pixmaps. After a whole screen refresh, the artifacts are gone. I did not notice this when the system was on 13.1 M3 post-install state. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Reboot the system 2. Suspend 3. Resume Actual Results: A corrupted KDE desktop view. Expected Results: A recognizable KDE desktop without artifacts. This an Optimus system with Intel IvyBridge and nvidia Geforce GT650M graphics. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
