This is an enhancement request for CUPS upstream.

The server hosting cups.org had a hardware failure Monday, April 22.
We have brought up a backup server to provide access to the current
CUPS source code and documentation. Full functionality will be restored
as soon as our new dedicated hardware is online. We apologize for any
inconvenience this may cause.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This means since April 22 nobody (i.e. also I) has access to anything
at cups.org except the plain CUPS source code tar archives
and documentation.
How to reproduce:

# rccups stop
# cp -p /etc/cups/cupsd.conf /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.save
# cat /dev/null >/etc/cups/cupsd.conf
# /usr/sbin/cupsd -f
Terminated
# tail -n1 /var/log/cups/error_log
X ... No valid Listen or Port lines were found in the configuration file.
