Yes, it's not related to NetworkManager or ifup/down in any way. The problem is
a locking problem in suppress(). A dumb one liner to reproduce the problem is:
while true ; do for i in * ; do echo $i ; for j in 1 2 3 4 5 ; do logger $i ;
done ; done ; done
With the removal of all references to suppress() from syslog-ng.conf, the
problem seems to be gone (=> quick and ugly workaround).
Now, that the real source of the problem is found, I hope that we will have a
fix soon.
