https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=809819 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=809819#c0 Summary: systemd-fstab-generator generates entries for lines marked noauto Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Ralf.Friedl@online.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-AT; rv:1.8.1.24) Gecko/20100228 SeaMonkey/1.1.19 Acutally, system is openSUSE 12.3, but that is not (yet) available from the Operating System selection box. I have entries like these in my /etc/fstab. The reason is that some USB-sticks have the file system on the first partition, while others have the file system on the whole device, without a partition table. /dev/sdb /mnt vfat noauto,shortname=win95,fmask=133,utf8 0 0 /dev/sdb1 /mnt vfat noauto,shortname=win95,fmask=133,utf8 0 0 With this, because of the noauto, nothing happens at boot time, and I can mount USB stick with "mount /dev/sdb" or "mount /dev/sdb1", depending on the USB stick. This used to work with my previos openSUSE version. When I boot openSUSE 12.3, this causes systemd to go into emergency mode, with the message: Failed to create mount unit file /tmp/mnt.mount, as it already exists. Duplicate entry in /etc/fstab? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Include two or more mount options for the same directory in /etc/fstab Actual Results: systemd goes to emergency mode with the message because /usr/lib/systemd/system-generators/systemd-fstab-generator exits with error code and the message: Failed to create mount unit file /tmp/mnt.mount, as it already exists. Duplicate entry in /etc/fstab? Expected Results: /usr/lib/systemd/system-generators/systemd-fstab-generator ignores duplicate lines with noauto, or ignores all lines with noauto. The system boots up in normal mode. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
