https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=800656 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=800656#c0 Summary: Skype sound events are delayed and distorted Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 12.3 Beta 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@suse.com ReportedBy: badshah400@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0 openSUSE 12.3, Beta 1, GNOME Live CD installed on system Sound events from skype are heavily delayed and (therefore?) often sound distorted. The fix is already done by upstream for version 3.0, and involves this single commit: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/commit/?h=stable-2.x&id=afbc9dbe49325882dbfad9a068d8d0537f3a62a1 We should patch pulseaudio 2.1 with this (unless of course 12.3 goes out with pulseaudio 3.0, which already has this fix in). I will submit pulseaudio (2.1) packages with this patch as soon as it builds in my home repository (I built the package with this patch locally and it fixed my issues with skype). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open skype 2.Try making a test sound 3. Actual Results: Test sound is heard a long time after pressing the button for the sound, skype audio conversations also sound badly distorted. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
