Sorry Malern;

I could not/would not sign off on this.

First.  Hardware issues, problems or failures.  Forget it.
I am (admittedly somewhat senior) System Hardware/Software Engineer. I monitor
my system externally with scopes, meters, ... and during the SuSE 12.2
installation, some diagnostic computers. I still have friend at SUN Micro.

So.  Lets get back to the original issue.

Yes, the Realtek NIC components are supported.  I could set the NIC up.  I said
that.  But Only after the installation has completed.  That was how I entered
the bug in the first place.

What I was trying to get across was -  You can't set up the NIC while
installing the OS.  The support and drivers may exist.  But they are NOT loaded
to support the NIC during installation.

Anyway.  Please see if this problem could be resolved for 13.
