Errr...
'minimal server installation' with NetworkManager?
Yes, that does sound like a valid conflict to me.
the only 'acceptable' bug I can see is the 'UI' eating the info that it
conflicts with the chosen pattern... but then, the error message tells you to
go to the software manager to resolve it, where the dialog shows what can /
cannot be done.
(In your comment #3, option 1 is the right one: 'remove' the pattern
limitation.
See:
Problem: NetworkManager-0.9.4.0-5.8.1.x86_64 requires
libsoup-2.4.so.1()(64bit), but this requirement cannot be provided
uninstallable providers:
libsoup-2_4-1-2.38.1-2.1.2.x86_64[openSUSE-12.2-1.6]
Solution 1: deinstallation of
patterns-openSUSE-minimal_base-conflicts-12.2-5.5.1.x86_64
Solution 2: do not install NetworkManager-0.9.4.0-5.8.1.x86_64
Solution 3: break NetworkManager-0.9.4.0-5.8.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of
its dependencies
