--- Comment #27 from Marius Tomaschewski 2012-11-19 14:09:13 UTC ---
OK, I'm going to prepare update packages and to add the following
flags to our default config:
#$klogParseKernelTimeStamp off # convert kmsg timestamp to message time
# uncomment, when there is message time
# difference between system and kernel
# messages which occured at same time.
#$klogKeepKernelTimeStamp on # remove kmsg timestamp after conversion
# or keep the "[timestamp]" kmsg prefix
commenting out both, solves the problem where it appears and reverts
to exactly same behavior as on rsyslog-5.8.x (klogKeepKernelTimeStamp
has an effect only when klogParseKernelTimeStamp is "on").
$klogKeepKernelTimeStamp (default "off") is already in git master,
$klogParseKernelTimeStamp not yet, but the author promised to add
it upstream too.
I think this acceptable (compromise with current upstream defaults),
isn't it?
