When 'right of', 'left of, or 'below' is selected in Configure Display (KRandR) then X.org takes 100% of an available CPU core and in a few seconds the display freezes. Pressing <Ctrl><Alt><Del> does not work. <Ctrl><Alt><Bksp> will close X.org and allow login again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login without second display. 2. Connect and switch on second display via VGA connector. 3. When 'Monitor setup changed detected' message appears select configure. 4. Enable VGA at 1280x1024 and select 'right of' LVDS. 5. Press OK and confirm change. Actual Results: X.org freezes. Expected Results: Additional display available right of the laptop display. If VGA allowed to be 'above' LVDS then it works as expected. Kernel module i915 in use. Mesa DRI Intel(R) 945GM x86/MMX/SSE2 renderer. Dell Inspiron 6400.
