Please give yast2 logs in /var/log/YaST2/. I'll also try to reproduce according to your setup.

Do you mean y2log_bootloader? It contains /usr/sbin/grub2-probe: error: failed to get canonical path of fs:/mnt/volume1/Clients/sauron/openSUSE-12.2/root/. Or do you mean y2log (really big file)?
