Thomas,
I kept this bugreport open for Rui as that it seemed he wanted to investigate a
little more what is causing the lowering of the CPU frequency when a thermal
event happens and the acpi_cpufreq module is not loaded.
So I leave it up to Rui if he wants to close this bug or not. For me (as you
indicated) the laptop functions normally again and I will have another look
when 3.6 is there. I will be tracking Kernel:HEAD to see when the first build
gets in as that it seems that 3.6-rc1 is already released. Strangely enough it
seems that the 3.5 kernel is skipped as that www.kernel.org is indicating that
3.4.7 is the latest stable kernel and that 3.6-rc1 is the new one.
