Do you really like "the latest snapshot version"
in a released product like openSUSE-X.Y ?
I would prefer to have a Rear version in openSUSE X.Y
that is considered to be "stable" - i.e. I would prefer
to have the latest released Rear version in openSUSE-X.Y
and not an arbitrary snapshot state.
With a snapshot version is is practically impossible
to specify or know in advance which exact version would be
included in openSUSE-X.Y because this depends on the exact
time when the packages are "freezed" for openSUSE-X.Y
(you would have to somehow synchronize the rear snapshot
with the exact openSUSE package freeze time).
What is the difference between the packages
- rear in Archiving:Backup:Rear
currently rear-1.13.0-git.20120523.tar.gz
- rear in Archiving:Backup:Rear:Snapshot
currently rear-1.13.0-git201207251536.tar.gz
Does Archiving:Backup:Rear contain the latest released Rear version
and Archiving:Backup:Rear:Snapshot contains the latest snapshot?
