And if there is a slow down of the X Window System and/or Printing system the user can enable/disable simply by using sysmbolic links the specific fonts. And the user has the choise of using either the more fine-grained 08-texlive-*.conf _OR_ the more global the 09-texlive*.conf files. I'd like to hear some more operating experience on opensuse@opensuse.org therefore it would be very kind if you could open a thread to discuss this issue.
