After checking with upstream, the preview is (in this version) known to be
broken and will be addressed in a future version.

Clicking 'OK' though renders the path (no real visual feedback, the render is
put on top of the bitmap).

As such, I'm closing the bug as 'upstream'.

(note: potrace is not needed by inkscape)
