--- Comment #5 from Carlos Robinson 2012-06-28 08:37:01 UTC ---
After about a week, s2disk crashed at this point:
"Snapshotting system - step 1.2"
which corresponds to this function call:
int suspend_system(int snapshot_fd, int resume_fd, int test_fd)
{
...
sprintf(message, "Snapshotting system - step 1.2");
printf("%s: %s\n", my_name, message);
if (atomic_snapshot(snapshot_fd, &in_suspend)) {
error = errno;
break;
}
sprintf(message, "Snapshotting system - step 1.3");
printf("%s: %s\n", my_name, message);
Thus, atomic_snapshot() is not returning, or returns with an error which is
never reported and kernel locks.
I need guidance here. What next step can I do now to further help you to find
and solve the problem?
Notice that 12.1 is failing in s2disk too after the recent update⁽¹⁾, this
might help solve that problem also, I guess.
