https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=765084 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=765084#c0 Summary: Random crashes in s2disk Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Maintenance AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: carlos.e.r@opensuse.org QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- After years of reliable use, I'm since two months experiencing random crashes in s2disk, it halts with no activity at the message: "s2disk: Snapshotting", with no disk activity - I have to power cycle. It is random, but happens after two or three days. Perhaps related to how much ram used. Sometimes it happens on recovery, but at the same message. What I want is advice for finding more info for the report. Would serial port help? The board has a real serial port. I'm using 11.4. I thought it was some update, so I have gone back in kernel version, suspend utilities, pm-tools... to no avail. Another person has a similar problem, but he is now using tumbleweed (he switched to see if it solved the issue) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
