It has the block devices /after/ you removed the module?
Yes, I'm able to access the data as if it were on a hard disk or usb flash drive. Actually, deleting the module + running depmod + mkinitrd out of chroot enabled me to boot from the card. (Before, it couldn't find the boot device. A comparison with Knoppix, which was able to access the flash drive, led me to the bad module.)
