https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=760417 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=760417#c0 Summary: Krusader cannot switch to superuser mode Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: AppArmor AssignedTo: suse-beta@cboltz.de ReportedBy: espinosa_cz@centrum.cz QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0 Krusader cannot be switched to superuser mode. This is a regression. In openSuse 11.3 (KDE 4.4) this used to work. This is kind of repeating error, dragging for year with KDE from 3.5 times in several distributions I came across :( Also: Missing edit as root option (was there in older versions, or was it Mandriva?) This is very important and handy feature of Krusader. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Krusader 2. menu Tools -> Start Root Mode Krusader 3. user is asked for root password, assume it is correctly entered (kdesudo?) 4. “cannot execute command” error without much details Both current KDE 4.7 and 4.8 (from OBS) Repeated attempts exhibits same behavior except I am not asked about root password anymore. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
