https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=753882 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=753882#c0 Summary: Package keurocalc does not require installation of curconvd Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: pagan13@estreet.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 I installed keurocalc to try it out. I got it installed with Yast, but when I tried to run it, it reported that it could not load "currencies.xml" and shut down. I traced "currencies.xml" in the keurocalc package to a symbolic link to /usr/share/kde4/apps/curconvd/currencies.xml and found no such folder. I looked in Yast for "curconvd," found it, and installed it. Keurocalc works now. Keurocalc needs have curconvd as a dependency, but does not. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Ensure curconvd is not installed. 2. Install keurocalc from Yast. 3. Run program. Actual Results: If folder /usr/share/kde4/apps/curconvd does not exist (which should be the case if curconvd is not installed) keurocalc will not run. Expected Results: Keurocalc should load up and run. The workaround is to install curconvd before or in the same Yast session as installing Keurocalc. It's possible that this bug exists in other versions of OpenSUSE, but I only have an 11.4 installation. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
