Hi. Thanks for the report.
It sounds like you don't have an mdadm.conf in your initrd.
Did you convert this from non-RAID to RAID without rerunning
mkinitrd
??
could you:
cd /tmp
zcat /boot/initrd | cpio -idv
and see if "/tmp/etc/mdadm.conf" gets created? If it does, please attach it.
If it doesn't please
mkinitrd
then run the above commands again and see if an mdadm.conf is there.
If it is - then try removing the second device and see if it will boot properly
without it.
