https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=752382 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=752382#c0 Summary: YaST2 ignores proxy authentication settings when downloading community repository list Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: amaus@gmx.de QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20120215 Firefox/10.0.2 SeaMonkey/2.7.2 Lightning/1.2.1 I'm behind a proxy with authentication. The proxy configuration is setup and everything works as expected... except for one little thing: When I try to add a community repository, I always get the message "Unable to download list of repositories or no repositories defined.". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. get behind a proxy with authentication 2. setup proxy in YaST2 3. try to add a community repository Actual Results: Error message: Unable to download list of repositories or no repositories defined. Expected Results: Download the repository list. Within y2log I see that the proxy is setup by setting the environment variables. But the temporary file, which should contain the downloaded repository list, just contains the sorry information from the proxy, telling me that I need to authenticate to access the internet. I can get it to work, when modifying /etc/sysconfig/proxy to read like this HTTP_PROXY="http://myuser:mypass@myproxy:8080/" But I think it's not intended to have my credentials in clear text in this config file. So I would expect this to be a little bug in the YaST2 code for downloading that list. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
