deadline misses >50ms with kernel-default-3.1.9-1.4.1.x86_64
The result of 10 hours of rt-benchmarking kernel-default-3.1.9-1.4.1.x86_64
with no workaround:
* Several 1 second hangs!
* The average of 6 clock comparisons indicate a clock lag of 0.08s, but this
was very inaccurate due to network latency. Without checking, it is probably
not statistically significant. I don't think my clock lagged at all.
My clock can clearly not have lagged the equivalent of all the hangtime, which
I suspected was a symptom of this bug. So if >1s scheduling latency is normal,
we have a new (!) "good" kernel (although not impressive).
I think we should look at the difference between the -default and -desktop
kernels, and try to explain what makes only the -default one
"good"/predictable.
