non-garbled pm-suspend.log, under sysvinit

starting with sysvinit instead of systemd prevents the log from getting
garbled, but suspend doesn't work, and logging stops at the same script:

/usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/50rcnetwork

according to one forum poster, moving this script allows the machine to
suspend.

the only connection to KDE that i can see is that the both, the OP & i, noticed
this after a larger upgrade of mainly KDE 4.8.1 packages. it's quite possible
or even likely that other packages were involved in that upgrade, too -- but i
can't remember or figure out from zypp.history what really happened.
