https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749039 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749039#c0 Summary: OBS web interface time format in "changes entry template" is wrong (automatically skips zero). Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: BuildService AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: i@marguerite.su QAContact: adrian@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/535.20 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/19.0.1037.0 Safari/535.20 SUSE/19.0.1037.0 recently I was frequently rejected by Factory because of a ridiculous reason as follows (Request #105790): Output of check script: Source validator failed. Try "osc service localrun source_validator" changelog not in sequence: Fri Feb 17 14:1:1 UTC 2012 - i@marguerite.su - fix libraries version tags of suitesparse-devel requires. Wed Feb 15 7:36:47 UTC 2012 - i@marguerite.su - fix bug#746867. cholmod is licensed under GPL-2.0 and LGPL-2.0 only, GPL-2.0 only prevents other components to be licensed under a high version of the same license. Please fix with your own tools or try /work/cd/lib/source_validators/helpers/fix_changelog Actually I did not use "osc" for those changes. they're minor changes like licenses or remove a comment in specfile containing RPM macros. I used Web Interface. If you open a *.changes file use OBS Web Interface, and click "insert changes entry template", here we go: Indeed if you use "osc vc" for those changes, the time format will be (right format): -------------------------------------------------------------------- Fri Jan 27 07:01:01 UTC 2012 - i@marguerite.su But by using the Web Interface, the time format will be (wrong format): -------------------------------------------------------------------- Fri Jan 27 7:1:1 UTC 2012 - i@marguerite.su As we can see, Web Interface automatically skips zero in time stamp. So even if all others are right, you can't submit your packages to any other repository with automatic check enabled like Factory. and other people branching your packages will suffer the same error for that.
