A primary partition after sliding down.
MS-DOS 7 BOOT PARTITION
free space of 20 or so Gig
EXTENDED PARTITION
Boot OpenSuSe, create primary partition in that free space.
Boot MS-DOS FROM THE MS-DOS BOOT PARTITION, NOT A FLOPPY!!!!
The partition created in that free space is not accessible.
The ORIGINAL states:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
After sliding down the extended partition OpenSuSE created, I had freed up
20Gig of space between the 20Gig MS DOS 7.1 boot drive and the extended
partition. I used to "expert partitioner" contained in YAST to create a FAT-32
primary partition to store common data files. Boot DOS, cannot recognize the
partition. Manually delete and recreate partition via DOS FDISK, and all is
well.
===========================
I said nothing about creating a fat partition on a non-boot drive and testing
with a boot floppy/CD.
