To reproduce : - have two systems, one with sshd running and another with vnc server accepting connection (for instance, using vino) - in a client, run vinagre, choose "new connection", then "VNC" as connection type, fill the vnc server name (or ip) in the Host name and enable "Use host as SSH tunnel" and put the hostname for the ssh tunnel. when trying to connect, you'll get "Error reading from unix: Input/output error".
