My Lenovo x121e has a built-in F5521gw WWAN-Modem.
I'm unable to create connection with it.
Neither with Not^WNetworkManager nor with wvdial.

Using exactly the same SIM-card and wvdial.conf the connection works fine on my
old IdeaPad. It has a Ericsson F3507g WWAN-Modem built in.

my wvdial.conf:
---
[Dialer Defaults]
New PPPD = yes
Check DNS = no
Auto DNS = yes

[Dialer pin]
Modem = /dev/ttyACM1
Init1 = AT+CPIN="1234"

[Dialer On]
Modem = /dev/ttyACM0
Init1 = AT+CFUN=1

[Dialer Off]
Modem = /dev/ttyACM0
Init1 = AT+CFUN=4

[Dialer a1]
Modem = /dev/ttyACM0
Init1 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
Init2 = AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","A1.net"
Modem = /dev/ttyACM0
Baud = 460800
Phone = *99***1#
Password = www
Username = ppp@xxxxxxxxx
---

"wvdial pin" works fine.
"wvdial on" fails:
--> Sending: AT+CFUN=1
AT+CFUN=1
ERROR
--> Bad init string.

Dialing to A1.net seems to work but the modem hangs up:
---
--> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.60
--> Cannot get information for serial port.
--> Initializing modem.
--> Sending: ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
OK
--> Sending: AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","A1.net"
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","A1.net"
OK
--> Modem initialized.
--> Sending: ATDT*99***1#
--> Waiting for carrier.
