I did some tests,

Temperature is from GPU not CPU

This is a laptop

Lenovo Z560 with nvidia 310M graphic card.

On openSUSE 11.4 GPU tempereture CPU and GPU temperature are almost the same
average 40°C and fan is working from time to time

on openSUSE 12.1 GPU temperature is sth about 40 °C and GPU is 60°C and fan is
working continuously.

I checked KMS on and off but without success.

I will try to install openSUSE 11.4 kernel on openSUSE 12.1 for tests
