Given the Chrome version, I believe that you are using a Chrome package that is
not downloaded from the openSUSE repo, but directly from Google itself.
As far as I know, Chrome is trying a number of directories to find plugins and
I am not sure if the /usr/{lib,lib64}/browser-plugins is one of them. However
the first directory that is tried is the plugins directory within the main
Chrome directory. The openSUSE Chromium package has linked this directory to
the /usr/{lib,lib64}/browser-plugins directory and therefore the latest
versions of the plugins will be found.
