If I suspend or hibernate via the status menu, then the screen is locked. If I first lock the screen, then fn-f4 and fn-f12 are ignored completely. This is IMHO a security problem. It works well in xfce with xfce-power-manager, there is also an option "lock screen before suspend" which is missing in GNOME.
