Or does it still happen after everything got removed? The command line to use is: /usr/bin/glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas
I tried this very invocation, and it does not happen any more after the full removal has taken place.
Good :-)
It still concerns me a bit, since an update/upgrade should be free of warnings in general. Those do bother users.
I guess my question is: Is this specific to FACTORY only (not that much of an issue), or will it also trigger with a 12.1 to 12.2 upgrade?
It's not specific to Factory, but shouldn't (usually) happen on upgrades. Here's what's happening: a GSettings schema file is referencing another GSettings schema file living in another package. The issue here is that we would need to install (or in your case, here) remove package in the right order. And we can do this with Requires(post)/Requires(postun), but this would be rather costly since we'd need to check all schemas all the time for such cases -- and we might end up with loops. That's why for now we're going the simple way -- living with the warnings. I welcome any suggestion to improve this :-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
