It is not "my" truecrypt package, but a package that is commonly used by many
others that don't want there private documents readable for others that may
gain access to a laptop.
And I think it is a usability issue with this latest version of opensuse. I
have never had to spend so much time to get it working after an upgrade. There
are things now that remain to be fixed and they concern the many popups asking
for passwords when there is no need for. And I mean no need because things for
me didn't change, and if I click cancel and everything keeps working, it
clearly was an unnecessary popup window.
So all I am asking, for my self and maybe many others that struggle with the
same, if there is a fix that doesn't make all my other partitions mountable by
all users.
To describe what truecrypt does: A device is mapped from the encrypted device
and mounted as loop device through luks or fuse, can't remember. The latter
need root access rights so here comes sudo where truecrypt is added to use root
access rights without password. This used to work fine and I hope can do this
again in a future with opensuse.
