https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735296 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735296#c0 Summary: failed update wrt. IPv6 ... Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mmeeks@suse.com QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- I did a normal enough install from the GNOME live-CD, had real problems with networking - but somehow overcame them to update [ but never touched any IPv6 settings ]. I just got a nice update warning / notification from the yast2 tool doing this: "network is unreachable" for download.opensuse.org - with some mad IPv6 address there ? Error message: Failed to connect to 2001:67c:2178:8::13: Turning off IPv6 in network-manager and yast2 seemed to make this all evaporate. Is this just some consequence of magic IPv6-ness not working here ? and if so why did it not fallback gracefully to IPv4 ?
