I'm not sure whose fault this is.

It looks like it is struck out several times. Like in the picture.

It happens sometimes. Now I pressed ctrl+f to open a find box, then I closed it
and this artefact appeared.

It started happening after I moved from gnome2 to kde4. I.e. when I started
using desktop effect. NOt sure if that's related.

It happens both on my desktop (intel G33) and notebook (radeon x1450). The
former is factory, the latter 12.1.
