booting my very-late-12.1-beta/rc system with some configured factory repos
showed that there are 3579 packets to be updated.
when I agreed to start the update I got the "Too many packages" error you can
see in the screen shot....
not that I really thought to to 12.1-final that way, but IMHO that's not a nice
"error" -- maybe you can increase that limit (e.g. by a factor of 10 to be on
the safer side ?! ;-)
BTW: the planned/real update to 12.1-final using "zypper dup" worked like a
charm...
