FWIW: After installing 12.1 final, I had this at first (without the clickable
names); but at a later boot (and I don't know what caused it) the background
became blue with the "traditional" login screen (with clock, usernames and
"Login" / "Menu" buttons with text label, no icon; and no openSUSE chameleon)
and at the same time the background I had previously selected via the Gnome
control center was (finally) visible after logging in. Much better IMHO.
