confirmed. But to be more precise, here with me, only the first non-root login
attempt at KDM after boot fails. So the sequence "root, user1" does work (for
both users), yet "user1, user1" fails for the first try of "user1", the second
try succeeds. I did not find anything suspicious in the logs (respectively I
did not find any message about an failed login attempt at all), the only
difference between root and user1 is that the home directory for user1 is
stored on another partition.
System was installed as RC1; updated via zypper to RC2. Setting priority to 3,
since this is somehow irritating (and maybe authentication in general is
affected).
