Same here after installing opensuse 11.4 64.
My left mouse button stopped working after a x period of time, when moving the
cursor and right clicking a lot the functionality came back for a while.  

Adding the following in /etc/X11/xorg.conf solved this for me.

Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "Mouse Remap"
        MatchProduct "Saitek Cyborg R.A.T.7 Mouse"
        MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
        Option "ButtonMapping" "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 2 9 10 11 12 0 0 0"
