could you please test xpdf-poppler from 
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/Utilities/openSUSE_Factory/x86_64/

problem 1 should go away. True? Also please check, if problem 3 still exist for
you, I have successfly displayed outline with non-ascii characters with it. If
your problem persists, please attach your pdf file to the bug.

I would like to investigate problem 2 in the near future.
