LightDM is at this point not even a supported display manager in Factory yet as
I'm still waiting on the solution in bug#714003 to be integrated.
Since up until now all supported display managers need to be hardwired in
/etc/init.d/xdm openSUSE 11.4 is not and will never be supported (I've actually
recently disabled builds for 11.4 and earlier for that reason but I guess you
installed it before that).
