Woke up this morning, hit the power button to bring it back from hibernate, and it worked fine. However, the KDE battery monitor still said "10%" (and charging) despite having been plugged in all night. "acpi" showed 100%. So, I unplugged, and then plugged back in the laptop. Maybe that'll kick the applet, I thought. Nope. I got a system hang, complete with flashing caps lock key. No magic sysrq for you! That's a different bug, though. TL;DR - battery applet said 10%, reality was 100%.
