Hm, looks like I was wrong here :)

According to https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1352, chrooting the
shell should work as well. I don't have enough time now to test, but it seems
just a matter of configuring the chroot directory correctly (please check the
ChrootDirectory section in the sshd_config(5) man page).

When you configure everything needed (the files inside the chroot, the correct
permissions, etc) chroot_no_tree will be 0 and the test in comment #0 will
evaluate to false. Let us know if this works.
