https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=704492 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=704492#c0 Summary: Knetwork Manager becomes unusable Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: aubrey@splashportal.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0 Occasionally Knetworkmanager becomes unresponsive. The checkboxes start to flicker and I cannot enable network and wireless. On reboot it functions properly. I can not determine the cause, however it occurs fairly infrequently, maybe once every two/three days. It may be possible that the desktop theme I'm using may not skin the network manager properly. I'm using "androbit". Or possibly the window decoration. I'm using "radial - thin borders". Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. Leave computer on for 2 days. 2. Network automatically disconnects at some stage and the network manager icon goes red (not connected icon) 3. Try to enable wireless/networking and checkboxes start to flicker Actual Results: program is unresponsive - iterface's: networking and wireless is not enabled. Cannot get list of wireless Routers in my area. Cannot connect! Expected Results: enabled the networking and wireless interfaces, connected to my wireless router, access the internet. Not sure yet if the bug occurs with the default theme. Possibly not. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
