The absence of "libgnomesu" affects both the shell and the individual tools.
However, the individual tools can be made to run manually via the links
provided within Gnome Shell (they drop into the command line for the su
password, but this is accepted when entered). The Yast2 control center cannot
be launched via Gnome Shell at all (an error message appears briefly in the
terminal window stating - correctly as it turns out - that the failure is due
to "misconfiguration")
