Yes, this is one way to reproduce it. An other way is: User LO-Writer with an
open document. / F4 to open data source / in the upper left box make a right
click and choose registered database (the lower of the two entrys). Then a new
window opened Choose 'New' Again a new window opened in which you can 'Create
new data link'. The Doc means that there is a possibility to create a link to a
LDAP or Oracle-DB, ADABAS,ODBC, JDBC, and so on but you can only choose a
ODF-file.
If you use a odf-file ther is no possibility to connect this to an LDAP-source.
