When I attempted to install while watching console 3, the install no longer
hung at the spot where it was trying to load basic drivers.

To double check, I rebooted, tried the install but didn't switch consoles,
again the install did not hang.

This is a strange one!

It would seem that, on general principle, there *_should_not_* be any
dependencies on what's already installed, that would cause a hang while
loading basic drivers.

Yet, repeatedly when I tried to install 11.4 with 11.3 already installed,
the install hung after messaging to the default console that it was trying
to load basic drivers. Now that 11.4 is already installed, the attempt to
install 11.4 in a graphic mode, no longer hangs at that spot.
