@Michael: I did not run it during startup. The server is usually up for weeks
at a time and this was attempt to safely clean the files while it's still
running. I did run linc-cleanup-sockets as user gdm by hand to simulate how it
would work in a cron script. Cleaning this up at reboot is easy, but I was
hoping to find a way to do so while it's running. We normally try and run our
servers 4-8 weeks minimum at a time.
Regardless, the GDM module never purges these files, even after reboot from
orbit-gdm, which is a separate issue I guess.
Somehow even though these linc* files are not connected to a process, GDM seems
to anticipate them still being in that folder. This failure only happens when
attempting to purge from this folder.
