Hi,

To make things easy for myself, when writing, I'll talk about `Default' (the
default, pristine KDE4 setup) and `Custom' (my customized version).

Another difference between `Default' and `Custom' is in `Custom' I have
switched off `Enable desktop effects'  This morning I tested `Custom' with this
setting switched on and I hit the `Defaults' button.  This did not work.

I'll go back to `Default' and try poking at it while doing work today ...
