Howdy,
Emil Velikov from the Xorg team provided me some troubleshooting tips. Two of
which were to use a bare-bones "xorg.conf" file and the other was to use a
different Window Manager (e.g. gnome).
At first, I tried "KDE" + "simplified xorg.conf" and I still encountered the
problem.
Next, I tried "gnome" + "simplified xorg.conf" and after nearly 48 hours, no
problem. Hurrah! (Typically within 24 hours the problem would be tickled).
How should I proceed from here? Should I change this ticket's component to
"KDE 4 Applications"
Please advise.
In the mean time, I thought I read that potentially disabling the screen saver
might have fixed some X/KDE crashes. I'm not 100% sure because I've read so
many different things I'm starting to confuse the lot. :)
Thanks again for the help!
